Family Wishes Membership Questions

1. What is Our BeQuest?

Our BeQuest is a movement driven by a collaboration of leaders who want to celebrate our loved ones’ lives, with dignity and respect, now and for generations to come by planning ahead together. We help people protect their family, friends, and pets* nationwide with our exclusive funeral concierge services named Family Wishes. 

2. Can I upgrade my Family Wishes Membership?

Yes. You can contact us using our contact form on our website, just Click Here , or email us at support@ourbequest.com. All waiting periods and other terms and conditions will apply like a new enrollment for the upgraded portion of benefits.  

3. If one person on the Family Wishes membership passes away, can someone else be added?

Yes.  You can contact us using our contact form on our website, Click Here , or email us at support@ourbequest.com and let us know which member passed away and who will be replacing them on the plan. 

4. How do I add a member to my Family Wishes membership?

Go to www.5funeralsfor55.com . Click on the membership you want and add up to five individuals (humans, dogs, or cats).  If you start out with less than 5 people at the beginning of enrollment, you can only add more members on the anniversary date of your membership plan.

5. What happens if I miss a payment? 

If you miss a payment, you will be given a 60 day grace period before your membership is canceled. Your plan will be active and all services will be rendered only for plans with current payment status. 

6. Will my Family Wishes members be covered if I miss a payment? 

If the Payor misses a payment, they will NOT be covered until your membership is current. After 60 days the plan will be canceled and none of the members will be covered.

7. What if I don’t have five members at the time of enrollment? 

If you don’t have 5 members at the time of enrollment, then you must enroll what you have. We suggest you give the membership to a family member, friend, someone not related,or a pet to fill all 5 membership positions. After enrollment, you can not add any members to that plan until your anniversary date unless one of the members passes away.

8. What information do I need to enroll each member? 

You will need their full name, relationship to you, date of Birth, city, and state. You can add their Preferred Service Funeral Home provider if you wish.

9. How many pets (dogs and cats) can I add to my “Family Wishes” membership? 

A maximum of 2 pets per plan. 

10. Which pets can a Family Wishes membership cover? 

We currently cover dogs and cats.

11. What is the youngest age a human member can be? 

The membership will cover a child from 0 yrs of age in their mother’s womb.

12. What is the oldest age a person can enroll? 

The oldest age a member can enroll is 85 years.   

13. How many people can be on one Family Wishes plan?

There can only be a maximum of 5 individuals on one plan. You can have 2 people per plan 65 years to 85 years old. 

14. What is the youngest age a dog or cat can become a “Family Wishes” member? 

The youngest dog or cat can be 8 weeks upon enrollment.

15. What is the oldest age a dog or cat can become a member?

A dog or can be enrolled through 8 years.

16. Do we require a medical exam for members? 

No. We do not require a medical exam.

17. Do we require our members to share their social security number?

No.  The Social Security number is not required. 

18. Do you need to be a US citizen to get the “Family Wishes” plan? 

No, but you must be a US resident, living in the United States or our territories. 

19. What if we get the plan in one state and pass away in another US state or territory? 

Contact us on the home page of our website and we will respond. 

20. Where are you located? 

Our home office is located in Richmond, VA. We have virtual offices throughout the United States and our territories. 

21. Are our members required to pass a credit check? 

No. Our Members are not required to pass a credit check.

22. Are our members required to pass a background check? 

No. Our Members are not required to pass a background check.

23. How long does it take to be approved? 

It usually takes 3 business days to complete the enrollment and approval process. For added protection to our customers, all authorizations will be called personally by our customer service department to process payment for the membership plans.

24. What should I do once a member on my “Family Wishes” plan passes away?

25. How do I reach customer service for “Family Wishes”?

26. How do I cancel?  

Email support@ourbequest.com with your membership number and reason for canceling, to help us serve you better.

27. How are we able to cover the Funeral Expenses being that we are so new?

We have private investors that will insure that all funerals are paid when a member dies.

28. Does the “Family Wishes”coverage end at 85 years?

No. Your active membership will cover your members until they die.

29. What happens when a “Family Wishes” member dies? 

Call our claims department, open 24 hours a day. They will contact the Member’s Preferred Funeral Service Provider and start making arrangements on the Payor’s behalf. 

30. What if a “Family Wishes” member does not declare a Preferred Funeral Service Provider? 

Our Bequest Customer Service Representatives will contact the nearest Preferred Provider on the member’s behalf. 

31. Can another “Family Wishes” member be added to the membership when a member dies?

Yes, when a member passes away a new member can be added to a membership plan as long as the person is eligible according to our guidelines. 

32. Do I have to enroll in a “Family Wishes” membership to be an advisor?

No. You do not have to enroll as a Family Wishes plan to be an Advisor.

33. Does “Family Wishes” cover deaths that are by a natural cause of the pandemic?

Yes, we cover natural causes as long as the member is not diagnosed with terminal illness, in hospice, in cancer treatment including maintenance medications at the time of enrollment. 

34. How does “Family Wishes” cover an unborn child when you haven’t named the child yet?

On your application, input Unborn Child and for DOB, input projected delivery date. 

35. Will I be able to contact customer service if a member passes away on a Holiday?

36. Do all the Plans cover Cremation?

Yes. The Silver and Gold Family Wishes plans cover only cremation. Platinum plan members can choose cremation or burial. 

37. Do all of the Family Wishes Plans cover burial? 

No. The Platinum Family Wishes plan covers the burial services including inhumation of grave, grave liner, and high quality marker/headstone. 

38. Is the Family Wishes Plan classified as insurance?

No. Family Wishes is a funeral concierge services membership; therefore, it is not classified as insurance. 

39. What is a grave liner?

A grave liner is defined as a burial receptacle in the ground of a cemetery plot, either sectional, dome, or box form designed and built to support the weight of the earth, plus standard cemetery maintenance equipment to prevent the grave from collapsing. 

40. What is inhumation of the grave?

Inhumation of the grave is the opening and closing of the grave.

41. How is the travel voucher distributed?

The voucher will be distributed in the form of a debit card ready for use immediately when a member passes away.  

42. If a Member passes away and originally lives outside of the USA, can the deceased still be shipped outside of the USA to their homeland?

We currently cover all 50 states (except Texas) and our territories including the US Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, and Puerto Rico.

43. If a deceased Member resided in the USA or its territories at the time of death, but is originally from another location outside of the USA, can they be shipped to their homeland?

Not at this time. We currently accept Family Wishes members in United States (except Texas) and our territories including the US Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, and Puerto Rico. Members must be residents of those locations to redeem services within our service area.

44. If one of the 5 members on the Platinum Plan does not want to be buried and just wants to be cremated, does that mean an additional plan needs to be purchased to honor that request?
